This is a tool for use by the young math student just starting to deal with fractions and reducing them. Random fractions are created (or made by the student, using sliders) and the learner is given tools for the process of factoring the numerator and denominator and then canceling like terms on the top and the bottom of the fraction. The tools strives to mimic the old-fashioned pencil-and-paper approach as closely as possible. The learner does all the work, but is guided and constrained so they cant take a misstep and continue. A tool for the Euclidean Algorithm is included, along with quick-tips for factoring and a mini-glossary of fraction-related terms.
